I found a documentary on Freevee called the Twelve Apostles created in 2001. I used each of the videos which were about twenty-two to twenty-four minutes in length during the class. They even produced one about Mary Magdealene who was deemed "The apostle to the Apostles." I used it during the last class. These videos gave an additional perspective to what the book had.
I also used the workbook "Twelve Ordinary Men" by John Macarthur that contained questions for the class to review what was captured from the readings. I would print out copies of the questions for those in the class. There were weeks that I spoke about two apostles so that the series would not last twelve weeks. I condensed the series into eight weeks. At the end I asked the members to summerize their thoughts on the class and received some positive feedback.
